The beautiful seal arrived safely on Thursday, and I can hardly find words to tell you how honored and happy we are to welcome the spirit that lives in that carving. There's quite a large family of Zuni carvings that make a home here, but this is the first Inuit art, and what a treasure it is!

Everything about this exchange has been perfect. The package came practically at the speed of light, and the carving was wrapped so carefully that no harm could come to what was inside.

Any serious Inuit art collector would do well to peruse the carvings available at Zone Art Inuit, Inc. that is nestled in Quebec city, Quebec, Canada.The owner/operator Jean-Robert Wilhelmy, travels to the Canadian arctic to personally inspect, purchase and collect the best that the native aboriginal artists have to offer. He is particularly familiar and on a first name basis with the artists in the Cape Dorset, Nunavut area.Personally, I also enjoy his information and anecdotes about the carvers themselves, as I am beginning to have more than one piece by a given artist. It is nice to put some information with that scratched signature on a carving's bottom.I am proud to say that I, my corporation, and associates are all owners of several pieces obtained through this excellent source. As a more modern gallery, Zone Art Inuit, Inc. offers its treasures via the Internet as well, which makes shopping from anywhere in the world possible.
